Shuffle Only Shuffles First 100 Songs or So?

I've been experimenting with the trial version of Zulu and I was loving it until I put the Shuffle/Auto Play function to the test.

 

After loading about 10 music folders containing about 1000 songs, I put the software into Shuffle and Auto Play mode and sat back to listen. To my disappointment, for the first half hour, Zulu only shuffled songs starting with the letters A, B, and C, and only played songs from the first two folders in the list.

 

This is a deal-breaker, so I need to know if there's a way to either expand the scope of the shuffle or to manipulate my songs so that Zulu will automatically skip from the 50's to the 2000's, etc.
