knoxjl
My church had 50 year anniversary program. I video captured entire program. I bought Prism ver 1.92 to convert 8,639,894KB MPG file (2:02:07 720x480@8000kbps) to 1,260,721KB MP4 file (2:02:07 720x480@1276kbps). I bought VideoPad ver 3.02 to extract pertinent portions to build DVD for hand-out. I have bookmarks (to build chapter markers on DVD) and 3 sec subtitles at the beginning of each portion. When I export project (1:52:16) to DVD, only a single 1,045,126KB VOB file (00:29:59 720x480@9000kbps) is created. No other VOB files appear on the DVD. I have made 4 DVD coasters trying different options with no change. How do I get VideoPad to write out all VOB files for the project? Update : (24MAR2013 17:50) I bought Express Burn Plus ver 4.62. I used VideoPad Professional ver 3.02 to export AVI file. I used Express Burn to copyAVI to DVD. Now the DVD contains VTS_01_1.VOB (08:29:57 7s0x480@25200Kbps), and there is a 2, 3, and 4 VOB on my desktop. DVD plays OK in PC DVD player, but various problems on different DVD players conncted to TVs. The more things I try, the more problems I encounter with NCH software suite. I have submitted tech support email, but no response yet. I used VideoPad a few years ago on a different church project, and I didn't have this much trouble. Looks like latest update is really buggy. How do I get VideoPad to write out all data for the project? (looks like 1 VOB can hold all of video) Final update : (25MAR13 19:42) I found Free DVD Video Burner ver 3.2.6 at http://www.dvdvideosoft.com. It allowed me to burn a working DVD that played everywhere I tried it. It consisted of 4 VOB files. Still no response from NCH. It looks like the software developers took a very good program and "enhanced and improved" it to a piece of crap. I finally got my project completed, but I'm very disappointed with NCH. Final comments : (27MAR13 07:26) As a test I went back to VideoPad ver 2.30 I used several years ago for a different project. The DVD was created without problems, and the bookmarks became chapter markers. The old program worked; the new program is broken. I bought Silver Technical Support Service as insurance in case I had problems. I have submitted two requests: no response as of this morning. I don't have the words to express my disappointment and frustration. Until I find a replacement, I'll be using the old version.
borate
Consider yourself lucky. Attempts to burn a DVD here result in "unknown SCSI error - failed." (There are no SCSI devices on this machine.) That's of scant help to you, but perhaps someone will drop by who can advise us both.
