ongoing issues with DS2 files - not good enough!

I contacted NCH last year after upgrading to the pro version regarding issues with DS2 files. After using the free version for many years and also having previously been an Olympus reseller, I am aware of the reasoning behind Phillips and Olympus launching the DS2 Files. However, if NCH launch a product and we pay for the licence to be able to play those files, the software should in fact play the files. Switch doesn't work either and ultimately we shouldn't have to use Switch when said licence has been paid for.

 

This has been going on for far too long with no resolution. Reinstalling the software hasn't worked either, as advised by NCH support.

 

I see on the forum that other users are experiencing the same problems with DS2 and other file formats.

 

Can NCH please advise when this issue will be resolved? At present, I am lucky in that I have the Olympus software which can convert the files back to DSS, however this is time consuming, and again, I shouldn't have to do this when above licence has been paid.

 

I am unable to release sample DS2 files to NCH due to confidentiality clauses with my clients but perhaps if someone out there does have files they can provide to NCH so that they can fix this problem, we can get something happening ...
