Guest tube
hi there a question: I want to achieve the smallest file size possible for an audio file and have it to play in winamp without having to download an external codec or use javabased software etc. so far I have compressed an audio file in gsm 6.10 wav format which winamp surrports. Details: 1 minute audio in GSM 6.10 wav format (299khz, mono) generates a filesize of 4kb. I want it even lower! does anybody know another standard format that will generate an even lower filesize? I am aware that fx DSP TRUESPEECH can generate lower filesize but when you lower the khz setting using gsm wav the file is smaller than using truespeech.
