leek
Can anyone help with an error message i receive when loading or trying to load .vob files into Express Scribe Pro version 5.40 I need to transcribe video recorded footage that is supplied on DVD. If i explore the DVD it may have two or three .vob files. The first file will load an play perfectly on Express Scribe, but the last file gives me the following error messaqge and im desperate to work out why, or how to overcome this problem.... The transcriber tells me You have new dictation and the green bar moves across the upload progress until suddenly it says,,, Video frame index generation failed Conversion of video failed. It has done this on a couple of dvd's that contain more than one .vob file, and its always that last file that does this The videos play perfectly well through Media Player or VLC player Apart from this snag the programme is brilliant... leoperales
Here's what I did, thanks to a suggestion from a videographer friend of mine: 1. Download and install MPEG Stream Clip (Follow the instructions on updating Quick Time 1.81) 2. After installing, open the DVD in mpeg stream clip, and export to an audio format. (I used "Convert to MPEG") 3. Upload the new .mpg file to Express Scribe 4. Transcribe with video/audio playing simultaneously!!! I hope this works for you. It did for me! caroberts03
Isn't scribe supposed to play DVD's VOB files?
