export error: Canon 60D .mov with Matrox MPEG-2 I-frame HD compression

Hi All,

I've searched for hours and hours and hours :-), to find a batch utility to convert

Canon EOS 60D .mov files to .avi files with the Matrox MPEG-2 I-frame HD compression.

I'm using the Lightworks NLE, and linking to the .avi files.

Lightworks has a problem with the Long GOP format, in playback mode, so they recommend

converting the .mov files to Matrox MPEG-2 I-frame HD.

I read an article about doing exactly this, with Prism, on this blog:

http://buildyourown.wordpress.com/2010/08/08/how-to-transcode-mov-files-using-matrox-codecs/

and followed the instructions, including the installation of ffdshow, but all to no avail.

The export either fails, or the the screen shows black when I try to play it in Lightworks.

I can transcode the files one by one, within Lightworks (or in a batch), or with RadVideo Tools (one by one),

but I'm really hoping to find a batch transcoder that's external to Lightworks, so that I can link to the files,

rather than have Lightworks transcode/copy them to a c:\Materials directory, which I don't prefer.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

Thanks!
