.wav file copy and paste issue

I have an audio book consisting of 4 .wav files of about 45 minutes duration each.

 

I have tried creating a new file and repeat the following steps for each of the files:

select all

copy

paste at the end of the new file

 

I seem to be able to copy the first, second, and fourth files, but not the third. All

4 files play fine individually.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions.
