blueriver
I am using the v1.61 mpeg-2 to convert a mp4 to avi and it's so far quadrupled the size from 309 MB to 1.39 GB's and been running 16 hours to get that far...no end in sight and the 'saving video file' dialog box offers NO helpful information: Video position 0.00.00. 0% complete. estimated time remaining 0.00.00. In the output folder the avi conversion is growing in size as I check it periodically so the program, which says 'converting, seems to be doing so. This CAN'T be a normal time of conversion or display? wtf? Update: output file now at 2.20 GB's and 30 hours of 'converting'. I had no idea how much larger .avi's are compared to mp4 format. When my file reaches 1 TB would that be a good time to presume something is seriouly flawed with Prism Video Converter Plus? (sic) Update: Problem solved. Required a mp4 splitter program. Completed conversion in 40 minutes @ 396 MB's.
