aforadio
Hi Guys, I'm running a online radio website that is using Broadwave as my Streaming Server Software. I understand that for Live Streaming, Broadwave only support this 3 extensions : .asx, .pls, .m3u And now i'm planning to develop an iPhone App to provide live streaming in the App. I'm hitting the first roadblock as the App developer told me that iPhone can support following list of extensions .mpeg, x-wav, x-aiff, x-m4a, mp4, caf, aac and aacp. The 3 Broadwave extensions are not in that list. My question is, is there any ways i could change my Broadwave Live Streaming Extension to the one which iPhone can support? Thanks for any tips and advise. Aforadio
KenA
Hello Aforadio, Broadwave supports .mp3 format, you could try that. It may be that the iPhone doesn't like the parameters, such as ?kbps=32 and similar, so you can leave these out, though the bitrate will be higher. E.g. just use http://yourIP:port/broadwave.mp3 This will select the live stream.
