hello. i am using version 5.03 of IVM answering attendant. I have a zoom 3030 modem. I have played with the settings for days and cannot hear the OGM over the phone when i call in to test. The software picks up the line after 2 rings like it should but i hear no message. i do, however, hear the message when i click the simulator button. the modem IS listed in the telephony tab under settings. the modem came with a cheaper software answering machine and that works fine. i can hear the message when i use that software (called "Communicate!"). but i still cannot hear anything when i use IVM. this software has all the features i need. but this is stopping me from buying the full version. i have a windows xp machine.

thanks for any suggestions.

Oh and according to zoom, this modem is fully TAPI compliant. i also downloaded and installed the most recent drivers from their website.

I have a similar problem. My modem is showing up in the modems list and IVM is communicating with it - answering the call etc, but it is not showing up in the sound devices list so IVM is playing the OGM through the speakers (quite reasonable!).

My modem is an old one and I can't find any CD or manufacturer's website (it would have been pre XP anyway), but it is definitely a voice modem and windows is installing the Unimodem and TAPI drivers for it. Modem model is TP-3020 (sold in Aus as a Web Excel i think). I am running Win XP Pro SP3.

Here is the extract from the modem log:

12-01-2010 10:13:54.578 - File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\tapisrv.dll, Version 5.1.2600

12-01-2010 10:13:54.828 - Modem type: 56000bps External Fax Voice Modem

12-01-2010 10:13:54.828 - Modem inf path: oem53.inf

12-01-2010 10:13:54.828 - Modem inf section: Modem_6

12-01-2010 10:13:54.859 - 115200,8,N,1, ctsfl=1, rtsctl=2

So the questions is - how do I get it to show up on the sound devices list?

Thanks for any help,

Dafi
