Running VRS within a computer program

I'm new to the forum and have downloaded VRS and thinking about purchasing. This software is very close to waht I am looking for. Was wondering 2 things about the software. Is there a way to start and stop the program through a computer command or piece of data being sent (if 'command' then 'start software' instead of manual or voice activated or does anybody know of this kind of application? ALso is there a way to configure the output file name of certain channels so that they remain the same, basically replaceing an existing file on a server? Thanks.
