Video *Input* is low quality instead of what shows up in players

Its very weird... i have a FLV file that uses FLV1 and NELL captured via stream.

VideoPad so far is the only app that can open and convert it without crashing or getting the framerate wrong.

However my output is always terrible quality no matter the setting. Then i notice my INPUT video is horrible as well. Worse then how it looks in EVERY player i tried. Weird, how do i fix this?

Is there a way to make it use k-lite codec/FFTryOut? I install it and had it working with virtualdub (framerate problem :() and the input source is fine. Now if only i can get videopad to use the same input codec......

I've just found that Prism & VideoPad work with AviSynth script files, I don't know if that would help - to force it to open the file in a particular way.

Having said that, I just opened this in VideoPad using this in an AVS file :

FFMpegSource2("00443.MTS",atrack=-1)

- and the preview (and Prism conversion too) was fine except that the colours were sort of negative-ish :D

Brightness wasn't negative-ised, but red and blue were swapped around in a murky brownish world without green!

Can you not use VirtualDub to change the framerate in the Ctrl-R dialog?

Nope bc its a FLV and when i use a driver i cant set it correctly. I Used Ctrl-R and set the framerate to 400000 and it still is to slow.

I am able to dump the wav. If i can successfully dump the video i can use another app to fix the video and reencode it with the wav. The problem is nothing seems to be able to extract the video correctly. This does but the video quality is far below then it should be. Its like the codec is broken, its so extremely weird. Nothing else shows the video as blocky as this.
