Is it possible using this software to transmit from one computer to another and then have that 2nd computer transmit out to the general public?

 

What I need to do is bring my laptop to a club meeting and transmit the meeting over the internet. The trick is that the internet they are using is not of the proper bandwidth that I would like. My home machine has plenty of bandwidth and would stream quite well. I am new to this stuff and the challenge was just thrown into my hands. If all else fails, I will try to push what I can through the fist internet connection and just make due.

Yes, this should be possible.

 

If the sound originates on PC #1, you run Broadwave on that one. With Windows sound mixer "Recording properties" you select Line-In assuming that the audio is being fed in there.

 

Then on PC #2 you use Winamp or similar client to listen to the stream from PC #1.

 

On PC #2 you also run Broadwave. On "Recording properties" select "wave out mix" or Stereo mix" (depending on your sound driver).

 

The "listening public" will then connect to PC #2 to hear the stream.
