dwayne00
HI IM NEW TO BROADWAVE AND I have a couple questions.I want to know how does broadwave work. Do you need a server like shoutcast? Can you use shoutcast with it and is broadwave just a program to play and organize your music or is it much more and how do you broadcast your station to listeners? thanks
KenA
Hi, It needs only the Broadwave program, no other servers. The clients connect directly to the server/PC running Broadwave. I use it to relay a point-to-point stream. It can relay any mp3 file which you have provided in the designated folder on your PC, or can relay the live sound from the soundcard. If you go to sound options, recording settings, you can select either the line-in or the software sound mixer output for Broadwave to use as the live stream. I use both on different systems. In the case where you use the mixer output, I use a radio automation program called Zara Radio to schedule the programme.
