Why do I only gety an .ISO-file?

I opted for a video-DVD but Express Burn only gives the option to create an.ISO-file.

How do I get it to burn it to a disc directly???

I finally used the Roxio software to burn, but no DVD-player or Mediaplayer will play it.

I guess I did something wrong, but in that case I urgently suggests that the manual/help info for the software is edited to be even more explicit.

Hi,

So when you click the drop down box there is no option to select your drive?

It sounds like Express Burn is not detecting your drive properly.

What kind of DVD drive do you have? (you can right click the drive in my computer, then click properties. then click the hardware tab. This should tell you exactly what drive you have)

Please try the latest version of express burn from our website, to see if the problem has already been fixed.

If you still have trouble, please let me know by sending me a PM.

Also until we get the problem sorted, you should be able to open the image file that express burn creates with roxio, and burn it.

I think there is an option in roxio to burn a disc from an image.

Using roxio to simply burn the file just burns it as data, which is why no players can play the file.

I've had the same problem - will not burn but does create the iso file.

Also, I've had problems with burning any kind of Video Disk.

On one of the forum questions, NCH folks suggested that I use different media (i.e. a different DVD). Well, that did not work either.

The bottom line is Express Burn apparently does not work well when burning Video DVDs. There are some huge problems. (I even got hooked up a new DVD/VCR combo out and it did not make a difference.)

All of the disks failed.

I downloaded Nero Trial and it worked the first time on BOTH a Video CD (played just fine in my newer DVD player); and, a DVD (that played in both DVD players.) Right now there is a special that makes Nero affordable and there is a free piece of software with it.

Some of the NCH programs work OK to well. Express Burn does not!
