I've been trying to use the IVM GETDATA Plugin for almost a week now with no success. I was able to install the plugin correctly, but was not able to get it to work correctly. Could someone tell me what are the arguments for the plugin and where do I input them. Where do I go to point to the accounts.dat file that was created? Would really appreciate it if someone could give a walk through of the plugin setup. I am using IVM v 5.12
I've had surprisingly good luck with the HiRo USB modem (Agere/LSI Soft Modem) on my PSTN analog line connected to a Panasonic PBX. IVM 5.11 works fine with everything I've tried (running Windows 7 with that most recent version of the modem s/w, ver 188.8.131.52), EXCEPT for one critical failure. When the caller presses a key (say, '2'), IVM is supposed to flash, dial ext. 215, wait for an answer, and then hang up on answer or fail back to the call tree if no answer. I monitor the progress of an incoming call. The modem recognizes the incoming DTMF tones without fail. It correctly applies the flash hook. I hear the stutter, then dial tone, and then ... nothing. IVM activity log claims it is dialing 215, but it doesn't. Here's the activity log fragment: 22:19:33 Command - Transfer 22:19:33 Dialing: ! 22:19:35 Dialing complete 22:19:41 Dialing: 105 22:19:41 Dialing complete 22:19:46 Call disconnected When I use a phone and manually flash, then dial 215, it works fine. It's just the IVM is not sending the keys. Period. And the modem logs show that no DTMF signals are being issued by IVM; it just disconnects. By the way, IVM version 4.11 unders Windows XP has worked flawlessly for me for many years. Any suggestions from NCH wizards on why IVM is behaving badly? Thanks.
First of all, I am using v4.12. It suits my needs well. I have a scenario where users would input a number sequence and if it matches what's in my list, it would play back an appropriate message. So far so good. However, when the number does not match, (i.e. validation failed), I don't see an option to redirect users, or do anything else. Ths sytsme plays "This is not a valid number" and keeps on repeating the OGM. per the help file "Before executing the active command, IVM can validate the variable using a number range or a list of valid (or invalid) numbers. If this test fails, IVM says "that is not a valid number" and replays the OGM." so it looks like the system is doing what it is designed to do, but this is crazy. We need to have some way of redirecting users to another menu, otherwise, the darn OGM keeps on repeating. Thanks
hello all, i have in the past used a voip system and decided to cut costs and thus went to a number of magic jack devices. i am now looking for a sophisticated answering software. i have two lines. what i assume is the following, in actual installation i will need to install a piece of hardware to allow the phone wire to connect to the computer, (what is the best for this) then install the IVM answering software. then back out the computer to a phone, headphones, microphone, etc. to be able to listen, talk, or answer the calls. another idea is to use some of my polycom ip phones with the IVM software. what i am missing are the details as to connectivity. as in the phone wire in and the calls out. what are the pieces of hardware do i need to accomplish both scenarios. this might create more questions than answers but i would appreciate any direction or thoughts. thanks in advance, charly
