Hey all, I'm pretty desperate for any advice someone might have for me...I'm freaking out! Today I updated ExpressScribe on my computer because it was performing poorly. I've been using the free version for the past 2 years with only minor issues, such as occasional freezing and lag. Today, the program for some reason was having severe issues with playback so I thought it probably just needed an update. Not so! It only made things worse. I discovered that Express Scribe no longer seemed to recognize my foot pedal (Infinity IN-USB-2) at all! Even though it had been working for the most par

As a setup for working for home I now have a VPN link to the office and am trying to use Express Scribe with a foot pedal through the RDP session. The foot pedal is not being recognised despite me ticking to extend plug-and-play devices through the RDP session. Is this a supported use? Do I need to do something else to get this to work? Has anybody got this to work? Thanks.

Whenever I depress the middle (play) pedal or the right (fast forward) pedal while in Word, the print dialog box opens. The left pedal opens my file system dialog box. I can't type a document. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!!!

I am a transcriptionist, and I need all the help I can get, hearing the audio files I receive. The best audio editor anywhere is this Wave Pad. Please, please tech folks, put the foot pedal ability in the Wave Pad. Others, also, using Wave Pad, may actually need to click between windows for any number of reasons. No foot pedal ability is slowing us all down. Thank you!

Hi. I was thinking of buying a foot pedal, because having to constantly move my hands away from the keys as I transcribe, in every sentence, is annoying and makes me slow. But I have questions. First, do you think this cheap gaming pedal would work on Express Scribe? https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00O055QB4 Second, I see foot pedals have 3 pedals, but what I need is to be able to do (at least) 4 different things: pause, play, rewind, forward. (Also play slow, play slower, and play normal, but I think I could do this with a combinations if keys with, for exemple, ctrl or alt). So how do

Hello, I recently downloaded the software onto a windows 10 machine. I cannot get the foot pedal to rewind when it's released. It stays exactly where I leave off. I need it to rewind about 5 seconds. I've changed the options, but it only rewinds if I manually press down the bar. When I release my foot it always went back a little. Please help I have 30 hours to do and I don't know what's going on. D

Hi, I'm brand new to Express Scribe. I have a brand new foot pedal, an Infinity, which is all working together as it should - play, rewind etc. my problem is that while I am typing, I cannot listen to audio at the same time. Touching the foot pedal while typing causes some random things to happen eg. Making things bold or underlining etc. what am I doing wrong? As you can imagine, this is slowing me down - big time! Help

I have a new copy of Express Scribe that I purchased in a pack with the foot pedal on Amazon. I am using it for the second time today, and having problem after problem, just like I did the first time I used it. I love that I can't call the company to ask them about it though because I didn't pay for platinum support, so I had to send an email and wait for a response... great service. My problems consist of a couple of things that are related to the foot pedal. I know that the problem is not the foot pedal, however, because I use it with Courtsmart and it works fine; I have never had any

I have tried two different Infinity IN-USB-2 pedals, both of which do not work well with my foot, which was honed on Dictaphone and Sony equipment. The problem: I stop listening for a few seconds by lifting my foot from the pedal, and then push the middle of the pedal to restart the recording - except it won't start. I move my foot to change the position of my toe on the pad - and nothing happens, even with repeated attempts and various foot positions. Sometimes I can hit the reverse or forward and things will resume, and other times the playback just won't resume regardless of what I do.

Hello all - I am new to Express Scribe and just downloaded the full program. I am used to being able to have the dictation back up a nanosecond (or as long as you want to program it) when lifting my foot off of play on my pedal. I only see one area under Options> Playback> where there is something called "auto backstep on stop (ms)" which is set for 0. I've tried changing this setting (and then clicking OK), but it doesn't seem to do anything to the audio playback. I've been working for 25 years with an auto backup so won't know what to do if I can't make this happen. HELP!!!!!!

Win 7 64 bit, Pro purchased and installed, licensed and registered appropriately. But the USB-2 Infinity foot pedal only showed up for a few seconds, both in the Test window and in Play Functions, but just for a few seconds, then stopped forever. I deleted the Pro ES, reinstalled, same thing. Whenever I restarted the computer, the Infinity pedal worked for a few seconds and stoped, again and again. Must be software problems. Please help. Thank you.
