I'm having an issue where I cannot decode/play .wav files that are 24bits or more. The file I'm having issues with is: Sample rate : 48000 Hz Channels : 2 Bits per sample : 24 Bitrate : 2304 kbps Codec : PCM_S24LE; PCM signed 24-bit little-endian Size: 759 MB (796 188 836 bytes) The file plays fine on my Win10 PC in various programs, just not in WavePad -->> I get a garbled waveform https://i.imgur.com/YU59ACp.png and no audio output. If the file is a 24bit FLAC or WavPack, it decodes fine in WavePad and I can load/play/edit it. If the file is 16bits, I can load/play/edit it fine. Just not 24bit .wavs! Are there any suggestions?

Hi Has anyone noticed a change in FLAC files recently i used to use v 5.something, but recently I bought v 8.06 and found the the FLAC's are corrupted. I have used other converting software and its just fine. how can i make the FLAC's like i did with v5? or can i go back to v5? edit1; i tried converting the switch flac's with another convertor and im getting MD5 did not match decoded data file is corrupt Edit2; Went back the original wavs (which i suspect were converted from something else) used a different convertor to create flac's and its fine Why would switch break the MD5? I believe I've checked, double-checked, and triple-double-quadruple checked all of the settings. I've checked "get info from internet" and alternately, I've also tried "get info from CD" and anything else I could possibly try. It worked on my previous computer, at least for some of the date (e.g. album title), but now I have a new computer because, of course, my old one died. Please tell me what settings to check, if you have any other suggestions. It would be very greatly appreciated.

Repro: open any file in wavepad file / save as name.flac use default encoder settings now using "flac - Command-line FLAC encoder/decoder version 1.3.2" (reference version from xiph.org), run "flac.exe -t name.flac" I get: name.flac: ERROR, MD5 signature mismatch
