I'm having a huge issue right now with trying to import video clips into VideoPad. For some reason, since a few weeks ago, whenever I import a video clip I have no sound with it whatsoever. The files themselves are fine, and recorded with a range of codecs, although my normal one is MP4. Even clips that previously imported correctly now have no sound attached. There is an audio channel that opens, but it's completely blank and no sound plays. This is seriously big concern as I'm basically unable to edit anything at all.

I know this post is old but i have the same problem in april 2021 other users had from 2015 so i simply think that also newer versions of videopad don't solve the no-audio issue. tried all tricks listed before. none working. using latest version of april 2021 on win 7 64bit the only way is to extract the audio from video as a mp3 file and then attach it to the video. ia lot of work to fix a unsolved bug. i would i have red these posts before paying the license.... very disappointed

I just starting having this issue this week... when importing video, audio track is empty. Audio plays wth all tested players. -0- I just installed the older version 8.91 that Borate recommended and now the Audio track is importing properly. Thank you I also tested with the latest release, but unfortunately it doesn't work. When is the next planned update to fix this issue? -0- The older version is not giving me to option to import audio track 2 or 3. The newer version prompts to select track number during import. I need these features. Please advise.

I have removed the components, reinstalled but still the MP4 has no sound. It's the MP4 that I have exported via VIDEOPAD. What should i do?

What a wonderful piece of software and so disappointing that there is no audio fix, like all above I've spent an absolute age editing video and was excited about owning the full version as it's a really top notch bit of kit BUT I am totally bewildered and puzzled as to the let down on the audio export, what a downer:( and I've tried all the suggestions above too.
