I was using WavePad v6.31, made a simple radio drop recording, saved as .mp3 and it worked. recording is not very good but that is not the issue. I received an email for WavePad update/upgrade to v6.33, I downloaded and installed it. Now if I create a new recording, again simple radio drop, save it, it is in the folder, but if I close the WavePad application it deletes ALL the files. I noticed it is creating .aud, .grf and "autosave" files in my c:\recordings folder. What is going on?! I have always used this folder c:\recordings for my radio drops, what has happened, please respond, I ha

Hi, since I updated my Mac OS to El Capitan, Wavepad ALWAYS crashes after doing only a few edits. Does anyone else experience this problem? Regards, Rob

I bought Wavepad in March 2014. I had to reformat the computer and now I am installing it again. The key that was given to me does not work on the latest version that I downloaded. That's a big surprise. I am good with the old version that was prevalent in March 2014. I can't figure out a way to get my hands on it. Please suggest. Regards, Amol

Hi I am using Wavepad 5.68 to record audio book and other spoken word materials. I need to clean up the files and remove a "muddy" bass. I am currently normalising the files and then equalising them. We have a podcast Web site using jPlayer. What would you suggest to use for bitrate and sample rate? Plus, we have to save the file three times to get the correct length for the end of the file. Any suggestions? Hi, so I purchased the standard version of Wavepad and when I purchased online, it said that NCH would send a registration code to my email address. This is to activate the software, but I can't do that because it got sent to my old address, which I dont use. (Accident!) and so I got into my old email account and changed the password, and the code has still NOT been sent yet. I have contacted them and I really need this sorting out now, I just paid for it, I hope this is not a scam.

Hello In Wavepad when I add an effect like equilizer (even set to flat), the amplitude of the waveform seems to increase at least 50% sometimes clipping the wave after I save it. Is there a setting I can use that will stop this annoying problem? Thank you David

I have WavePad 4.5 (full pad version) installed on my Apple MacBook Pro running Max OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I've been using a combination of WavePad and iTunes to create custom ringtones for my iPhone 4S and have run into something strange. The problem: In WavePad, I'll edit a selection down to exactly what I want for the ringtone, save the file as an MP3... and when I re-open the file in ANY player, WavePad will have added a very short block of silence at the beginning of the file and a longer block of silence at the end.
