Hi NCH Is their a bug in videos exported as .gif ?? Just noticed while checking out a forum thread that although individual frames of an animation exported as a .gif play OK and so produce the animated movement required, they do not delete the previous frame of the sequence as they should. Each frame is therefore retained. As any background transparency is also retained, an object set up to move across the screen leaves a trail. This does not happen in VP only in the exported clip . ...... e.g. This is a screenshot of an exported .gif clip. A football with a transparent backgr

hey, im still pretty new to video pad video editor, while it does have the features i like, and want, it seems that exports take a long time, as far as im used to FAR too long. i did read the export time is tide to resolution on FPS, and this seems to only make half sense. i use the same settings as i did with premiere pro, the program im trying to migrate away from, being: 1920x1080, 60FPS, as an mp4 file, with the compressor being h265. is it because of these settings that the export takes so long? is there something i can do/ adjust to make my export time more reasonable? thanks in adv

Hi gang, I've just tried to upload a couple of videos to YouTube that I edited in VideoPad 4.48 on a Windows PC: a 5 minute clip from a recent comedy show I did, and a full one-hour video of the whole show. The 5 minute clip uploaded without problems. The one-hour video though came up with "Failed" in the export queue after spending over an hour generating and uploading. It seems like something went wrong at the very end. When I view the video in YouTube Creator Studio, I see a blue bar at the top saying: "Thank you! Your upload is complete. Refresh the page once the video is do

Hi Everyone... New to the forum and need help asap. I have a 25 minute mp3 audio file and all I want to do is grab a 2 minute soundbite from the file and send it to another person's email. I tried for an hour or more and still can't get it done. Anyone with a step by step process I can easily follow would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, i'm kinda new to the forums but recently I had finished making a video in video pad and was ready to export, checking back on everything, I noticed a black preview screen for any clips where slow motion and captions are combined and active. In addition, when exporting, the video percentage will rise up fine until it reached the 1.5% length (or the 5 second mark of the video) Please help, I really do not want to restart. (I have updated video-pad to the latest version) Other projects don't seem to have this problem. Is it the vpj.? Or is it something else? Some of the perce

I have created a video project in VideoPad and am ready to export it in one single video file. The full video is just under 6 minutes. I have tried to export this video on two different machines (laptop first, desktop next). I've tried exporting to countless video formats and have also tried just exporting to YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox and none of these have been successful. The video always stops the export at 56.5% (between 3:27:937-3:28:003 minutes). I have checked the discussion forum and have tried several of the suggestions for those who had similar (although not exactly the same) is

I have a problem with 3D SBS exporting to VideoPad. Source files are .MTS. If I export the video in 3D sbs, the finished video is not fullscreen. The resolution is correct (3840x1080), but the finished video is small in the center of the screen on a black background. What could be the problem? And another question. Can somehow export Half SBS video?

Hi, I am experiencing an issue where the video will freeze for the duration of a clip on playback. I saw an earlier post about this in the forum and it stated that it may freeze if there is a gap between the video, however there are no gaps between my clips. How can I get this video to play properly on export? It plays fine in the preview pane.

Hello. I am a new user to this software and I got it to replace Windows Movie Maker mostly because the user interface for this program is a bit like WMM so it was easy to jump into. Its been fantastic so far, I love this editor. However I do have one question. Is it possible to set up a sound or an alarm that plays when this program finishes exporting a file? I want to be able to walk away or do something else while a video is exporting and get a notification of some sort when its done so I can go back and work on the next file. Between my youtube channel and the video editing I do

Hello everybody. I am new to VideoPad and this forum. After some playing around with the free edition I was so happy I decided to buy the professional edition (without premium support though). However, after making my first video project I found the program is unable to export the video at a higher setting than 720p/30fps. When I try 1080p/1440p one of three things happens: After about 1% processing it jumps to 100% and the export queue shows a green 'complete' message. The exported video is about 1 second long. Obviously it's not complete. After about 1% processing the export queue

I have croped a video and am trying to export it to upload it to youtube. I am trying to get the right image size. But the video is not filling the screen. There is a big black frame around the video although I chose to resize the video when iwas asked just Before the export . Pleas see the video on youtube: you see the film is small in the middle. How shall I make tthe film bigger ? I have chosen different fps (720 and 1080 in youtube format ) in the export menu. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi. I've used videopad for a while, but am now having some problems and desperately need some help. when my video exports, parts of it freeze, while the audio continues without problem. I've read other threads on this issue, but nothing has worked... I've tried mp4, mpg, avi and have tried exporting to dropbox, drive, video file, and youtube, but nothing has helped. Please give advice! Thank you!

Hey guys As you know I've been concerned about the speed of exporting videos with release 4.58 and above (before then they seemed to generated more quickly). I know NCH is aware that not all CPU power is being taken by the export (and will hopefully speed it up soon) but that aside Borate (or possibly one of the other tech specialists) mentioned that the export fps could affect the time if the video output was not the same fps as the source video(s). So this week I generated my entire video with an fps of 20 (for both cameras) and exported with the same fps (usually I export at

I generating my most recent video using V5.01 (and tried out the "censored" filter whilst I was at it, pity you cannot move and resize the block on screen rather than via the sliders, a future enhancement perhaps?). I was disappointed that despite your previous response to my post about slow exporting, this version did not use all available CPU on my i5 quad core machine. It seemed to render in more-or-less real-time (35-minute video took roughly 35m to render, and the CPU varied between 30% - 70%). I don't understand why the export rendering process cannot be made more CPU intensive

I got a problem with VP4.58 when exporting a 40 minute video at HD quality, 8192bps, MPEG format. It fails at the 80% mark-ish and really does cause Windows to Blue Screen. The error on screen whilst Windows is helpfully "collecting data" is "Memory Management" - so is this VP, Windows or my PC's hardware? The crash was repeated when I tried again to render the video. I don't get BSODs on Windows 10 during my normal use, not ever, but maybe VP is using more memory (I've got 12Gb installed) and finding an issue? Anyway, the main problem is that I can't even regress to 4.48 as the Cr

Hey everybody, I just went through quite some trouble to make a video and wanted to export it so I could use it properly, but a pop-up told me this was only for the licensed version, which seemed quite strange because just last week I was still able to export with the exact same settings in the non-licensed version. Please help me out here

Hello, I just noticed that the newer versions of vidoepad are not capable of exporting 720x576 mpeg files, which is, as far as I know the standard for DVDs. The nearest export setting for mpeg is 768x576, but that isn't part of the DVD standard. Whenever I manually enter 720x576 as mpeg export resolution, I'm asked whether I want to to crop or resize the video which both leads to black bars on various sides of the rendered video. Any suggestions? Yours Serafin

Hi guys As a result of some things mentioned in support responses over the last few days, I'm wondering if there is any link between preview rendering resolution and the final rendering time taken? If, for example, I preview in full HD, does VP still do exactly the same process for rendering the final HD video (exporting it)? In which case, are the different preview resolutions only there so that VP can generate the previews more quickly (along with any transitions)? Just wondering if this is something I can do to speed up export on 4.58 (whilst the new version which does use al

Just tried (several times) to generate (export) my video to .mp4 format (mpeg, 8192bps, 1920x1080, 25fps, audio 128kbps) and it has "failed" several times, despite trying several alternative settings. I'm getting panicky now that I can't generate this video, what can I do please? (Don't ask me to send you the entire project, it's several GB in size, about 20 mins long). The settings I'm using are the settings I've always used. Edit: It gets to 100% but the green bar is not quite complete (just a couple of pixels remain) - it's at that point it fails. Edit2: I've also noticed, but m

A big problem I seem to keep having with VideoPad is that frames of video clips covered in layered multi video track editing come out visible in the export. This happens to only some video clips. Yes I've cleared unused cache files and it still happens. Another problem I've had which I'm not sure is fixed now is videos appearing later than they should as dictated in editing when they have nothing but space preceding them on the timeline. I put a blank text image before them to avert this and have stuck with it, so I'm not sure if it's been fixed by now. And thirdly, I often see certain
