I was working on several projects, and for each, I've added an image to use as my title cards. Theoretically speaking, the title cards should be identical as they are using the exact same ones. However, in one of the projects, there are black borders at the sides. When I checked the image's property for each file, the aspect ratio was the same at 1920 x 1080. There aren't any effects being used either, as they are merely dropped into the timeline. What could be causing this discrepancy amongst the projects? Any help is appreciated.

I am so glad I didn't pay for this after the trial before figuring out this huge flaw that renders the program almost unusable. It's surreal and unbelievable to not have the cropped area become what will be exported at the end. Don't put bars around it, don't stretch it, don't force any specific aspect ratio onto it. All the workarounds here are ridiculous and too impractical. And Zoom is NOT the same, as it keep the original resolution. If I have a 4K horizontal video and just want to crop out a 320p vertical area, I don't want that to stay 4K resolution, and I don't w

Hello, I have recorded in OBS Studio a video with resolution 2560 x 720 (32:9), basically two screen outputs of 1280 x 720 next to each other. I want to edit now the video in Videopad Video Editor, in order to keep the left screen for a certain time, and then keep the right screen for a certain time, and write the resulting video to 1280 x 720 (16:9) resolution. When I open the video in the bin, Videopad scales the canvas to a size of 2560 x 1440 (16:9). I try to change the format to my own, by rightclicking the context menu and checking "Change Clip Aspect Ratio...". However th

Hi I'm using VideoPad 7.34 I found many post on this forum abount cropping issues, black bands and so on but I have not found a solution. My purpose is very simple: I want to crop a video (applying a crop rectangle static filter) and then export the video with that new size. I don't want to upscale, downscale, zoom, scretch to aspect, adapt to 16:9 or optimazing it for youtube. When I apply a crop filter the "Auto match content" feature always detect the original size and not the new cropped size. It's possible to reach this goal without use another processing to

I just installed version 6.10 (on a Windows 8.1-machine). My old version of VideoPad Professional worked pretty fine, but version 6.10 seems to generate a problem with its 'video-effects' -function (scale, crop, resize etc.). The command 'apply to alle selected clips' does not do its job properly...When trying to make it work on two separate (but successive and closely related) clips, it only changes one of them. Despite answering the question ('apply to all') correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hi I cant seem to find a way to additionally cut out the sides of my screen screen stage. I have tried using the effects mask but this doesnt work. I read somewhere that NCH were adding a polygon mask feature in 2015 but it still doesnt seem to be implemented. Whats the ETA on this and can anyone advise me on how to do this? note that I wanted also to clean the bottom edge of the matt. Mainly because it seems the resolution of pixelation is quite noticeable. Can you increase the edge resolution of the green screen. BTW I have used an actual green screen in this shoot

I have croped a video and am trying to export it to upload it to youtube. I am trying to get the right image size. But the video is not filling the screen. There is a big black frame around the video although I chose to resize the video when iwas asked just Before the export . Pleas see the video on youtube: you see the film is small in the middle. How shall I make tthe film bigger ? I have chosen different fps (720 and 1080 in youtube format ) in the export menu. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello. I just started playing with VP for editing my old DV video sources. The sources are avi files, DV type 2, NTSC. When I take a single source file, put it in Storyboard and export the video as NTSC DV avi file, the picture horizontally shrinks and black bars are added. The source file is recognized by VP as an NTSC file, 720x480. I have changed the preview to NTSC 640x480 as predefined in VP. I have exported the video with output format auto-detection resulting in NTSC 640x480. I believe it somehow means 720x480 because that is how VP then recognizes the created file. However, the re

I have a little excerpt from an old movie that I want to use. It has fluffy borders (with round corners) and the aspect ration doesn't match my project. It would be okay if I could just enlarge it (with the center of the source pinned at the center of my output video) What functions should I use for that? (NB This would seem something simple that I should be just discovering myself by trying, without asking, but I'm having some trouble with the program as detailed here, hindering my learning curve. So, this is sorta theoretic until I get my program debugged.)

I have a video I took while I was riding in a car. I want to crop out the bottom portion of the clip so as not to see the car. I can easily crop the bottom portion out, but I want to vertically re-center the cropped image in the middle of the frame. Is this possible? Right now the resulting video image sits on a large black space kind of like an unbalanced "letterbox" effect. It's distracting to me. I tried playing with the zoom to accomplish the same thing, but I don't like the way the zoom appears to stretch the image to fit the space vertically. Is there a way to constrain zoom to

Hi. I am trying to display two clips in parallel side by side. They were both shot in 16:9, so I used the Motion feature to shift each image horizontally so that the subjects are shifted to the left and right edges, respectively. Then I used Crop to eliminate the right half from the left-shifted clip and the left half from the right-shifted clip. Theoretically that should have produced the desired result. The problem is that when I combine the Crop and Motion features it displays correctly in the editor's miniscreen (each image separately is in the correct location displaying the co

Hi everyone, a fairly new user of Videopad here posting for the first time. I have a need to blur out things in my videos, at the moment I am trying to blur a car registration plate. Nothing I have tried so far has worked. I was wondering if anyone else had done this, or if there is a plugin somewhere that can do such a thing? I have spend a couple of hours downloading and installing various virtualdub filters but no luck with that approach either! Going a bit crazy... Richard
