    I have discovered this problem can be resolved by using voices. Select voices Select voice number Select note Place note Repeat using a another voice number e.g Voice No 1 half note Voice No 2 quarter notes These notes can be started together

    Yes, I agree it does not work correctly and is a nuisance and is he same for a dotted half note with and half note with out a dot.
