  1. What I would like to know is: Is this normal? Right now, I'm burning a Video DVD from a MP4 movie on the hard drive. It's been doing things for over an hour. It now says it's "Writing to disk. Please Wait." The disk continuously spins for a few seconds, and then stops for a few seconds. It says it is 5% complete, with time remaining of 00:00:00. It has been like this for over an hour, still spinning and stopping. Numbers not changing at all. Should I just abort this attempt? Is it not likely to proceed with the burn?
  2. Hi folks! I bought Orion some time ago, but have never really been able to get the results I'd expected. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. If I want to recover deleted files (Say MP3s), using the Wizard, I enter mp3 and recycle bin, or even all files and C drive. After many hours of searching for deleted files and checking for overwritten clusters (I have a 1TB HD that's about 30% full), I get a page of about 42 files. At the bottom, it says 1,250,000 deleted files found. In this list, I only see two mp3s. I try to recover them (to a thumb drive), and I get a 1K file that I just delete right away. Now..., How can I move on to the next 40 or so files in that million file list? The list stays the same, and I cannot see, select, recover, or scrub any files that are not in that first 42 files. I'm sure the files I accidently deleted (if still recoverable) are somewhere in that list. So..., When I go to scrub files, (Again after many hours of searching), it gives me the same partial listing of deleted files. No matter what I do, it always comes back telling me that this file can only be scrubbed using the full disk scan. At the risk of sounding stupid, I don't see full disk scan anywhere in the menus or on the screen. There is a button that says, "Deep Scan." I assume that's what it means. Either I'm doing something wrong, or the wizard has no purpose, because no files can be scrubbed using it. Everything requires a full disk scan. Any help would be appreciated. I own numerous NCH programs, and am usually very impressed with them. But this one really has me scratching my head. Thanks!
  3. To edit tags of multiple files in GR, highlight the files you wish to edit and hit CTRL+G. Make sure you have them listed in the order which you want them numbered, using the Move File Up/Move File Down (CTRL+UP or DOWN). Because when you do multi tag edits, GR numbers the tracks for you in the order they appear in the list.
  4. Wow! What you just did is exactly what I was talking about. That screen you showed is new to me, but I'll find it. It looks pretty complicated with the curves and points. I hope I can figure it out. Thanks so much! (I guess what you're telling me however, is that I'll have to go through the video frame by frame with this tool?) Thanks again! Rick
  5. Hi folks! I would like to select an object in my video, pixelate that area, and have the pixelation follow that selection around the screen. Example: I may film a raccoon outside my patio door, where my motorcycle is parked. I may zoom in and out, and follow the raccoon all over the patio. I want to blur out my license plate on the motorcycle, and keep it blurred as it appears to move all over the screen. Does anyone know if this can be done? And how? Or can it be made to happen with future versions? Thanks for any advice, Rick Wicker
  6. Hi. I have issues with this also. Here's what I've figured out. If it is a heavy file (large format & file size), it is more likely to be clunky. If I try to pan too fast, it will be clunky. I am already zoomed in on the pic in order to pan across it. That's asking a lot. (I'm working with a Dell 5555, Windows 10, and 16 GB of ram) I sometimes have to make that one animation last about 10-15 seconds to keep it from jerking. If you're not zooming in on the image, you may want to edit your picture to something a bit lighter (smaller format or file size). That will allow you to pan faster. That's how I manage around the issue. However, I do wish it would just work smoothly. I hope this is useful.
  7. Absolutely! That did the trick. 🙂 Thanks so much. I figured it would be something easy, and that I was overthinking it.
  8. When I go to add files, the listing (of my Downloads directory) is grouped by dates. Only in Pixillion does this occur. I prefer NO grouping at all. So far, nothing I've tinkered with has made a difference. How can I turn off (or avoid) this grouping?
