  1. From my testing on Windows 10: WavePad appears to be a 32-bit program (not a 64-bit program), even though the WavePad program runs fine on 64-bit operating systems (W10). I have the Master Edition of WavePad and I was able to get 32-bit VSTs to work, but 64-bit VSTs: no way (they don't come up as available) Does this sound correct: WavePad Master Edition supports 32-bit VSTs but does not recognize or support 64-bit VSTs

I reached out to Technical Support and here's the reply: Hello,Thanks for contacting NCH support. We'll be happy to assist you.The trial version of your programs does not support VST. Only the Master's Edition license supports the VST feature.Let us know if you have further inquiries regarding this.Regards,NCH Customer Service Team so, I am thankful to get a quick response that explains the situation. I just think that: the website which currently says: "All of our products include a free trial period to preview all features before you buy" should also clearly say: "Note: VSTs only work in the purchased Master edition" and that the Trial program should 'grey out' the entire VST section and pop-up and say: Only the Master's Edition license supports the VST feature.

I tried it (fresh new install) on a different W10 PC, same thing: scans the VSTs, but nothing shows or comes up under VST Effects (no 32-bit VSTs, no 64 bits VSTs) -- so it appears the Trials don't support VSTs ? feel free to try it on a different PC to see

Hi and thanks for the advice I'm not paying for support for something that says: Supports VSTs and then doesn't It would be nice if the Trial software says: Only Supports VSTs with a Paid Version Of course it's the right (VST) path, as per what I wrote: all other audio programs find the VSTs. I'm a computer consultant and IT Manager here in the States. I think I can find the right path. If I don't get (pre-sales) support on this (without having to pay for support -- "just to find out if Trials support VSTS or not") ... my solution is not to purchase the software(s) or anything from NCH It's unprofessional, insulting and a major time waster to tell Trial users: it supports VSTs when it doesn't and have people think there is something wrong with their computer or VSTs I even created a separate c:\vstpluggins.test folder and put one FabFilter VST2 (dll) in there and it can't find that one either (after I added c:\vstpluggins.test to the VST path) this occurs for both MixPad and WavePad - so I don't think the Trial supports VSTs, but why would I purchase a product that I can't test ? I guess they do things differently in Australia -- what can I say ? thanks for taking the time to reply though. I appreciate the thoughts. Too bad, it looked like a good program for my needs. If they don't want the income and don't listen to customer prospects' concerns during an evaluation - fine. I was looking to spend nearly 200USD overall on their software(s). WavePad / MixPad / VideoPad I just need to know if the Trails support VSTs or not. Feel free to try the Trials on a different W10 PC and see how that goes for VSTs. I have the latest downloadable version Trials. No VSTs register.

I have both the MixPad and WavePad Trials I entered in the correct C:\Progam Files\Vstplugins path for VSTs (and I have a lot of them in that folder) I also own other programs -- they all see the VSTs and work fine This is a Windows 10 Pro PC I7 32 Gigs RAM RME Babyface audio interface For both MixPad and WavePad, no VSTs show up -- this is even after rebooting the PC The reason why I am interested in MixPad and WavePad is that I don't want to be locked into Tempo (like DAWs tend to do) I know I can use my DAWs for Audio Editing/Arrangement, but I like the simplicity of MixPad and WavePad when I work with audio clips I wonder why my Windows 10 Pro PC can't load VSTs in MixPad and WavePad -- is it because the Trial doesn't support VSTs ?? (home/non-commercial use only) thanks for your time and expertise I'm scared to purchase the software (that includes the VST support) and later find out I can't use VSTs in just these two programs. If the Trial doesn't support VSTs, it should say so when trying to load VSTs thanks again iwaiwa
