Hi and thanks for the advice
I'm not paying for support for something that says: Supports VSTs and then doesn't
It would be nice if the Trial software says: Only Supports VSTs with a Paid Version
Of course it's the right (VST) path, as per what I wrote: all other audio programs find the VSTs.
I'm a computer consultant and IT Manager here in the States. I think I can find the right path.
If I don't get (pre-sales) support on this (without having to pay for support -- "just to find out if Trials support VSTS or not") ...
my solution is not to purchase the software(s) or anything from NCH
It's unprofessional, insulting and a major time waster to tell Trial users: it supports VSTs when it doesn't and have people think there is something wrong with their computer or VSTs
I even created a separate c:\vstpluggins.test folder and put one FabFilter VST2 (dll) in there and it can't find that one either (after I added c:\vstpluggins.test to the VST path)
this occurs for both MixPad and WavePad - so I don't think the Trial supports VSTs, but why would I purchase a product that I can't test ?
I guess they do things differently in Australia -- what can I say ?
thanks for taking the time to reply though. I appreciate the thoughts.
Too bad, it looked like a good program for my needs.
If they don't want the income and don't listen to customer prospects' concerns during an evaluation - fine.
I was looking to spend nearly 200USD overall on their software(s). WavePad / MixPad / VideoPad
I just need to know if the Trails support VSTs or not.
Feel free to try the Trials on a different W10 PC and see how that goes for VSTs. I have the latest downloadable version Trials. No VSTs register.
