  1. Thank you for your detailed response. Following your advice I eventually tracked down an offending fragment by letting the red cursor run until it stopped - way beyond the end of my video. When I zoomed in to maximum at that point there was a thin, black line which I could click and delete and that resolved the fade out issue that I had. A useful lesson learnt! Very relieved because I'm up against a deadline! Many thanks. Keith
  2. For the first time I am having trouble fading out an image clip. The icon at the end of the clip indicates that there is something attached to it, but there isn't. I have magnified it to the maximum to check and there's nothing there. I have tried putting the clip on another track but that doesn't solve it. I've never experienced that before. When I try to fade it out it says the maximum allowed is 0.002! I've tried deleting the clip and reinstalling it but it makes no difference. Help!
  3. I regularly have to import sizeable chunks of text and need them to format into the equivalent of a text box found in most word processing software. At present I have to blank off a section of the screen - which I can do easily, but then when I paste in the text it imports as a single line of text right across the screen disappearing off to the right with no carriage returns. It then takes quite a while to manually format into the space. And that is only easily possible on the left side of the screen. I need a text box so that the imported text formats to the size and position of the text box wherever that might be on the screen. Am I missing something because I'm really surprised that this facility appears not to be available.
  4. OK, thanks. I thought I might be missing something. Thanks anyway.
  5. Is there in Videopad the equivalent of a publishing 'text box' into which pasted text can be put and will fit into without it just being a long, single line of text which has to be hand edited line by line to fit the desired location?
  6. Thank you for your prompt response. I'm not by my computer just now but I'm sure that will solve it. Your comment that it's been like this since 7. series explains it. My previous version was 4. series... -0-0- Tested it. It worked. Sorted. Thanks again.
  7. I've just started using the latest version of Videopad having used an earlier version for several years. There's an issue for which I'm sure there is an easy solution: When I set 'fade through black' between clips on, say track 2, the result fades everything and the main video fades as well whereas I need that to be track 2 only. How is that solved when I only want the fade to apply to one track only? That wasn't an issue in the earlier version. I've tried the options on the bottom of the transitions window but none of them make any difference. Any ideas?
