How do I switch off the note menu?

Thanks for Reply Kim1318 but I don't really understand what you mean. I want to switch off the Note menu. Can I do this? Thanks, Ray -
By the note menu I mean the group of coloured circles that appear to the left of a newly placed note. I don't use this, preferring instead the Tool Menus. Having this pop up and obscure other items I find a little irritating. Thanks, Ray
