  1. I have some lyrics for a song I want to reveal from left to right. I'm sure it's a simple fix but I cannot for the life of me find it. I can find 'Reveal Left to Right' under 'Transition' under the 'Home' tab, but this applies the effect 1) to the end of the clip 2) the entire lyric line appears at the start, and then 'wipes clean', which is sort of the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. I'm layering a sequence of videos (of doodle-like videos, i.e., drawing) over a music track. These doodles are in mp4 format, and were created on the iPad using the screen record function, I believe. The 'main' video is 16:9, but the doodle images are square (I 'letterboxed to aspect ratio'). All is fine when I don't resize / scale the doodle videos but when I do (in this case, enlarge), a grey outline appears around the image. This problem doesn't happen when I only 'position' the same image / video. I've attached a link to the main video : https://youtu.be/6KtcDgBsdcE The grey outline is first seen in 0:03 and then at 0:36 (several others similar in the rest of the video). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
  3. It is very odd, but everything is now working. I removed the track 3 file from the repository then re-loaded it (this is probably the 5th time I'm doing it, excluding several reboots of my PC) but suddenly it's working. I assume the little green men in my PC were on a lunch break or something. Hopefully there'll be no more issues. Thank you very much for your help again.
  4. Actually I'd like the night sky to fill the whole screen then fade out to reveal the pianos. I do know how to scale and position - that's how I managed to situate the pianos, so that's something at least (although I do it via 'scale' and 'position' separately in the FX box). Thanks also for pointing out the length discrepancy; I had indeed intended to clip Track 3 so that's not an issue. The problem is the visual - I just can't get what you managed to achieve though. I get the feeling it's something very noob and obvious that I've missed so it's rather frustrating. I'll keep trying. Thank you for your help. If you think of something please do let me know.
  5. I've just noticed that Tracks 1 & 2 have the bright green tick but Track 3 doesn't. All are loaded on my timeline. Sorry, ignore the immediate previous message. The green tick is there. (Project submitted via PM)
  6. I'm trying to overlay a video (.mp4 I downloaded from Youtube; plays fine by itself / outside of Videopad). It's meant to be the 3rd video track, showing up on top of tracks 1 and 2 (which are laid out side by side). This track 3 video 'appears' normally in the top left window where all the files are reposited. But in 'clip preview' I just see the checkboard background (peeping out from behind 1&2). In 'sequence preview' I just see Tracks 1 & 2 (but there's a dotted line around so clearly Track 3 is registering). In the bottom window, where the timeline is, Track 3 appears as a solid grey bar (but I can see the thumbnails of 2 & 3). I've shared the intended video for Track 3 below ('Video to be overlaid') Any help would be appreciated. Video to be overlaid
  7. I will try it! Thank you so much for the quick response.
  8. I am trying to create a 16:9 video where a piano being played is on the left, and lyrics to the song appear on the right. The piano clip is a standard video file. The lyrics are in separate images. The images were created in Powerpoint and exported as individual jpgs, I believe the size was about 20cm x 20cm. When I add the image to the timeline, it appears in the centre of the 16:9 screen (i.e., two black bars on either side). When I use Effects / Position to shift, the image 'crops itself', so that anything beyond the centre, bits of the left and right sides of the image get blacked out. When I go to 'clip preview', I notice that the background of the image is not the same size as the original / 16:9 background. I suspect that's the problem but I don't know how to fix it. Also, I have about 40 of these images to place on my video clip, so while I don't mind a tedious fix, if a one-time solution can be suggested I'd be very grateful. Any help would be appreciated.
