Why is the recording of guitar coming out a half tone lower?

I got an alesis io2 express audio interface and downloaded the asio4all driver and am trying to record guitar on mixpad. However it plays back out of tune (lower) than the guitar is. I tried to double track and heard how out of tune it is. What is going on?
