I've just posted a query with exactly the same issues. The NCH website states that the software os compatible with Apple MAC, but clearly there is a problem. I will also be requesting a refund as the software os clearly NOT fit for purpose.

HI....I run a new MAC with the latest version of Catalina 64 bit OS. I have an ION turntable connected with a USB cable. The MAC recognises hthe turntable and when playing a record, there is sound recognition in the 'Sounds" utility menu. However, the Golden records software does not record any sound even though the USB microphone input is selected from the drop down menu. I have tried using different ports, but without success. Can anyone help, please. cheers Steve
