  1. I would love for the scrollbar to keep its position because now I need to scroll down everytime I add and cut up a new piece of video.
  2. Anyone know if v.p. uses nvenc? When I export to h.264 the gpu usage sometimes goes up to 40% But most of the time it's not used at all. Most of the work seems to be done by the cpu.
  3. Is it possible to do a superscript in a simple test edit? Or in some other easy way?
  4. I don't want to reverse the clip, but maybe I can use this to reverse the effect, save it, and then use it on the not reversed clip.
  5. If you are going to use audacity you could add the ffmpeg libraries to the program so it can open a video file.
  6. I don't want a copy of the video clip. Only a reverse copy of the effect.
  7. Reversing the effect probably still means entering the correct numbers at the keyframe
  8. When I place a video on the time line and decide to remove it again, the position in the media bin changes to the upper starting position. So I need to scroll back down and select the next video. Is there a way to stop this behaviour?
  9. I have a zoom in effect on a clip and for the next clip in the time line I want to reverse the zoom effect (so zooming out) Is there a easy to do this without writing down the numbers? (I have already saved the effect)
  10. And here is a little video proof about the export issues I experienced: https://youtu.be/vell2PD3khI Of course edited using videopad, this time without any issues
  11. H265 is one of the most important reasons I needed a new video editor. Sure, it takes a lot longer to encode, but I will more than save that time when uploading over my slowish internet connection. b.t.w final 1080p export is still going -0-0- The H265 export was finished and I watched the result, and it seems fine. For for future exports I will include a cache wipe and a computer restart. To bad you can not postpone the background recoding of the cache files.
  12. So after a restart, and waiting almost 2 hour for VP to regenerate the cache, and then the CPU finally settling down, I exported the project again in 720p using the h264 codec. So far the result looks fine, the missing picture is back. Now I'm encoding the final 1080p H265 version but that will take a while. But I've already lost my upload window last night so that's fine. But issues like this makes you lose faith in VP, and shows you how important quality control is.
  13. Another day another videopad struggle. But I will try again. Found another thing wrong with the H265 export. Two short simple text edits that were on track3; One is missing the other plays for the full length of the rest of the video. I just restarted the computer deleted the full 90GB video pad cache, and after the cache re-generating is one I will try exporting again. Does anyone have other ideas incas it goes videopad keep screwing up?
  14. Video is about 26:40 minutes long and mostly 1080p I just did waited more than an hour for a x265 export and the picture is missing again. Damn. I did re-apply the picture effect and I shifted the picture slightly on the time line before exporting. But I guess I will have to do it yet again. sigh. Edit: I just noticed there are other video items missing in the x265 export also Edit2: In the x265 export everything, except some .png files at the start, is missing 😞
  15. I've tried grouping things together but that's not the solution, things still shifted slightly, despite being grouped together. I got a whole bunch of cuts of equal lengths on track one and two, so it's easy to see when stuff gets misaligned. I think this might have happened when I used track one for something else somewhere along the time line. But cleaning up these time shifts does cost a lot of time.
  16. I shot a couple of scenes with 2 camera's. And after lining up (synchonising) the sound I chopped them in to pieces. After a while, doing al kinds of editing, I noticed the both camera's tracks were no longer in sync. All the clips in track 2 were slightly shifted to the left. Is there a way to permanently lock the clips on track one and two?
  17. I think, by now, I know how to select a clip :) It just did not work for me any more...
  18. I exported my project to a 720p test video and checked it for errors. To my surprise a picture with a zoom effect is completely missing?? It is there in the videopad preview. Why can this happen?? It's not giving me a lot of faith in the program :(
  19. Anyone ever seen this before? https://youtu.be/V6fniZqVVTE
  20. Found another bug in the videopad editor and I you a small illustration video using videopad https://youtu.be/bh2kW4QIUq0
  21. Is it possible to merge two or more projects? Maybe by text editing the .v[j files.
  22. Yeah, I know better. But knowing and doing, are two different animals :)
  23. I ended up writing down all the file names and deleting everything from a certain point on track one. Now I'm redoing my work, Sometimes you got to pay the learning curve
  24. And I was thinking it should all be done on the first track. Bit like a cross-fade effect. Moving things to a separate track was a bit of an eye opener for me Thanks. If could only find the source of the weird cpu usage and save a bit more often, VP might be perfect for me.
  25. So the trick is to move thing to another track. I will try that.
