Oooh! Overlap! That would solve the problem I was thinking of, that being being unable to get them to sync when put together again. I can always detach the audio, delete it, and insert the original. Good work around.

Possibly, but it makes editing impossible at that length. Is there any way to split up a project so I can shorten the amount of RAM and cache used, then put them back together before rendering a video? As far as I can see there is no "add project at end/beginning/cursor"

The preview SKIPS that image. Why? I don't know.

I think I discovered the problem. For some reason the original project is getting altered when I add in subtitles. Meaning the size and length of the scenes are being changed. I don't know how, but when I view the project, sans subtitles, it views differently from when I have them put in. Is that at all possible?

It seems that every single time I add or alter a subtitle, Videopad feels it is necessary to rebuild the entire preview from the start. What this means is that the further along I go adding subtitles, the harder it is for me to add subtitles. I want to check to be sure each subtitle is correct before going to the next, but because it rebuilds previews from the very beginning each time, I have to wait for the preview, which can take minutes, even for a change that looks only a few seconds. Sure, I can TRY and view it, but it does not give an accurate view, skips over scenes, etc. until the preview is reconstructed. Why can't it simply rebuild from the point of change rather than the beginning?

While adding in subtitles, I have again and again realized that I had the format tab set to "All Subtitles" usually after adding in and formatting quite a few. This means I have to abandon the edit and start over. Is there any way to get the format tab to default to "Selected Subtitles" automatically?

Here's another problem I might encounter with subtitles, and I don't know if there is an answer to. During my adding of subtitles, I often change the left/center/right justification to get the subtitle under the character speaking. Now, what if I decide I need to change the general format, say change the color of the font, or add a background to the text. If I do that under All Subtitles, it will ALSO change the justification that I spent hours putting in. Otherwise, I have to go through each and every one of the subtitles just to change one thing. Is there any way to tell it to change just ONE part of the format for all subtitles?

That's a lot of work to go to, plus, I can't then download the subtitles as a separate file for uploading to YouTube, etc.

What if I want it to snap to the beginning and end of the scene? Seems to me that isn't possible.

I am in the process of creating a 40 minute animatic, which is basically like animation, only with fewer frames. I then want to add Spanish subtitles. Now, since the animatic changed just about every time a new character line is spoken, it seems to me that if I simply jump to the scene, then click subtitles, I should be able to add the subtitle, then stretch the start and stop to the ends of the scene. However, when I go into subtitles, all references to scene seem to disappear. Is there any way to get the subtitle tool to zoom to a scene?

I just started using VideoPad a few days ago, and I am amazed at its power, considering the price. I am using VideoPad Professional v 8.42 There are three of things with the snow effect I would like, and perhaps someone here knows how to do it. 1) Presently, the snow effect begins at the top, with nothing, and then slowly fills the screen as the snow falls. Is there any way to have the snow already falling when the clip begins? 2) Presently the snow only falls vertically. Is there any way to have it fall at an angle? Such as: you are inside a car that is travelling. The snow falling outside should be falling at a steep angle. 3) Is there a way to have the effect continue from one clip to the next without interruption, such as when I want to fade between to similar images.
