Export issues with Slideshow to YouTube - takes forever (10 hours?!)

Oh, and now it says "Failed to Save your Project" - what kind of scam is this software? I cannot believe I paid for this. -
I have created a slideshow with audio in photostage that is 18 minutes long. Trying to export the file for YouTube publishing but the export is taking HOURS. I have a licenced version. No matter what resolution the export, the time to export is huge. Anyone had and resolved this issue before?
