I have the exact same issue. I posted something on this forum a couple of nights ago and have gotten no response.

I am a new user. I have MP3 files that are 6 minutes and longer in duration. I am able to open the MP3 files in Express Scribe; however, the duration of the file will only last a few short seconds: 28 to 35 seconds. Help! What am I doing wrong?
