  1. Thanks Borate! I've tried it several times the last couple of days, morning, evenings, because I also read your answer in another post. But sadly to no avail. Thanks for the quick response! The rendering was successful and the start of the upload to YouTube also was initiated, but then quickly the message "failed" appears. So the title will be in YouTube, but no content. So I'm guessing it may not be a VP upload limit, but you are a better judge of that. I've exported the video to my desktop and that went normal as always. I then uploaded to Youtube manually and there were also no issues. So the VP upload limit may still be valid. Now waiting for it to complete the rendering in HD to see if everything is done alright and release it to the viewers tomorrow! Thanks again, and I would like to add that I admire your quick support, good answers and helpful hints. Keep up the good work! Best regards, Anton
  2. Hi Borate, Like other users I see in the forum, I'm also experiencing issues when uploading to YouTube. This bug seemed to have been fixed for some time, but this week (at least since sunday) it's back. Are there any issues that you are aware of? It would be nice to have a status page somewhere to see where the issue is. Just like MS, Google etc have to show the server status. Also, could it be that when using an "&" symbol in the upload title, everything goes wrong? My video is rendered correctly and the upload to youtube starts, but then all of the sudden the export queue says. "FAILED". In the channel content screen of youtube it says (in my case) "My first Qamp&A video of 2022", which of course should read "My first Q&A video of 2022". I also have some ideas that I would like to share with you: It would be nice to know what went wrong when an update fails. Is there a logging we can read ourselves? If not, will it be included in the next version? Or at least an error code next to the FAILED would be nice, so I can try to see what went wrong. Now you sort of have to quess. But after 3 rendering sessions of one and a half hours, that becomes annoying. One last questions. After the FAILED message, where is the rendered video stored on the harddrive? Or is it removed immediately? Is there a box that you can tick so it will be left on the harddrive? So you can at least try to upload it manually to Youtube. Maybe something for a newer version? I'm still working in 8.84, because I didn't see, felt or noticed any differences in the newer version of videopad demo (I believe it was version 12) and mine. Maybe there is a difference, but to me its exactly the same (sorry if I offended you!) Hope to hear from you soon! Best regards, Anton Edit: I cannot upload the backup, because it exceeds the file limit on all those share services
  3. Hi Borate, Good to talk to you after so many years! I will try the trail installer and take it for a spin. Especially the endless rendering on version 8 is still annoying me. So I will do a comparison! Thanks for answering me so soon! Best regards, Anton
  4. Hi all, I've been a Videopad user since version 6 and have been working on verion 8 for some time now. I would like to upgrade to version 11, but I just cannot see why. What are the differences in versions? What benefits does 11 have over 8? Or 9 or 10 for that matter. When looking for videos on Youtube, I can only find old videos from NCH. When I look at the screenshots, Videopad 11 looks identical to 8. Could someone help me? Best regards, Anton (Current version 8.84)
  5. Hi Borate, I've tried what you said with the numbers, but mine will always start with no numbers. The second recording will add the .0001, .0002 etc. So the first recording always shows up last in the list. @ C_Major thanks!
  6. Hi there NCH, Just a small idea for a next version of Videopad. I record a lot with both my camera and my microphone. The last is done for voiceovers. Now all recordings, are numbered, except for the first one. That one is just called My audio. My idea is that all recordings start with My audio 1 and then upwards, so no My audio, with no number. This makes it a lot more logical, when sorting the sound. The first recording, isn't the last in the list. Also, another minor, but needed improvement. When using the Pan&Zoom, or Ken Burns effect, it would be nice to get a sort of grid overlay, so you can more precisely add this effect. That's it! Keep up the good work! Anton

    Leaving Videopad

Small update, after rearranging my audio tracks it seems that the audio finally works! I exported the whole video. I'll reconsider switching back to Videopad. I will at least keep you posted on the next project that I will try to export.

    Leaving Videopad

Dear Borate, Thank you for reaching out to me. You will find the files herein the link that I've sent you. I'm trying two last attempts at exporting, at the same time, on two different machines and with different settings. Thanks in advance, best regards,

    Leaving Videopad

Dear Nat, Thank you for your answer. I installed the latest version and exported a project again. This time there was no crash except that there was no audio present. It does have that in the project itself, but it fails to export. I will try again tomorrow for a final time. Thank you and good night!
  11. Dear NCH, Two years ago I finally made the step to create my own youtube channel, reviewing computer hardware. It's a great hobby and I do it because I like to, not to make money. Back then I needed an editing program and a friend suggested to use Videopad. Not too expensive, and should get you going when you are new to the trade. I love the easy of use of videopad. I've grown accustomed to the layout, effects menu's and everything else. I can edit a video in a relative small amount of time. My main issue with videopad is that exporting is always a hit and miss. Nearly every time I finish a project, I always have to spend nearly a day sometimes 2, to get a video exported. Numerous unexplained crashes, half finished exports, crashes with major errors (and yes, I sent the bugreports, even though i never get a reaction) etc etc are a minefield to go trough. Starting another one with my gingers crossed (rather hard to type though) Yes, I know what you are thinking; his system is outdated/not updated/*insert any possibility here*. No, I own a 9700k, 32 gb, 1tb nvme drive and a 2080ti. Also my windows is always up to date and I do not experience any issues with any other program. Also switching to any other machine, will result in the same errors. I have to check the video (if it's playable at all). Sometimes it's a transition that the export will fail on, sometimes it's a photo, other times it's a text that's the problem. I export to the standard 1080 youtube preset. Nothing fancy. I do use version 6.31 and even though I get messages to update to version 8, but I refuse to pay for a new version when the version I own doesn't even function properly. And for the exporting issues, I will not recommend Videopad to anyone. I will even dissuade everyone of using it, because of the exporting issues. Recently I bought another program in a sale and gave that a go. A program that I will recommend, because exporting just works. No endless waiting with fingers crossed, no day(s) lost exporting. I can just finish my project, export, upload and get on with the next one. I do hope videopad will get things sorted again as I do prefer the ease of use over Vegas. I really do! That's also the reason I'm writing this. Best of luck and best regards!
