It depends on how the card reader presents itself to the OS; they don't all behave the same way. No, there's no reason to think that the paid version of Orion will see any drive the trial version won't see, but you should probably download the latest version and see if that helps.
I have just purchased Orion Home (19.10.2019). I want to recover some video files from an SD card, 64GB. My computer can read all of the files on the card yet nothing happens when I try to use Orion to find deleted files (of whatever type)"on it...the "Finding deleted files" pane does not appear. I tried with a 16GB SD card and Orion worked. I think I need to know what, Ït depends on how the card reader presents itself to the OS" is referring to, please. The result was the same when I inserted the SD card into an attachment which I then inserted into a USB port.
