Not sure if it will help or not, but maybe worth a try. In settings try playing around with the Tone Low Freq Cut Filter on the first page. Sometimes does seem to change quality although in my case, not always for the better .
  2. Hi Brenda - not sure what's happening here, but I had a slightly similar problem one time. Solved it firstly by heading into the settings in (XP) D & S/App Data/NCH SS/Scribe and in there deleting all the files in the Current/Done folders. Then I uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled - thankfully worked for me . Now, if I could just get someone to help me figure out why I can't sort my files since a reinstallation of XP I'd be very happy!!
  3. Just since my machine has been 'revamped' over the past few days - new software and antivirus programs put in place - PC-Cillin, Webwasher - mostly all internet security ones. However, some other Windows tweaks may have been done that I'm unaware of. Now can't sort files on Duration tab. It will sometimes do 'something' but might just be one or two files switched round, as opposed to the entire list. Noted in a search that someone had a somewhat similar problem earlier in the year but no fix was mentioned. Any ideas on how to sort it - already tried a reinstall which hasn't done it?? Thanks, Romayne
  4. That's what I'm running too - can't see any sign of a newer one around yet?
  5. Simplest way is to go into settings and Files - you'll see a box for auto-delete files after x days - fill in whatever # of days suits you in there. TKR
  6. Haven't had any probs until this past week or so. Using version 3.11. For some weird reason no matter how often I pull in files from the 'explorer' window on a load/delete, it somehow manages to only pull in around 85-90 percent yet still deleting the others, with the net result that I think I've finished a batch of typing, only to discover I haven't and have to go through the files manually to locate them, and then pull them in singly, as opposed to highlighting an entire batch. This is a repetitive problem in that I can unzip the files once more, and repeat the process and it will still only pull in 2/3 missing different ones each time - sometimes only loses 1 other times up to 4 or more. I count the files I'm pulling in so I know I'm selecting the right number. Only change I've made to system recently is installing an antivirus program - (AVG). Running Win XP on a 1800 processor with Word/Office XP. Just totally bemused as to what's happened to cause this problem, and would like to figure out a fix. Hope someone has some possible ideas for what is usually a superb product!!
