  1. I'm stumped. I've got a project full of 1080 29.97fps mp4 clips that previews and exports fine. A friend sent me a clip that I'd like to incorporate into my project. This clip has become problematic for me and nothing I do seems to help it live alongside the other clips. It's from a GoPro and it's a high-def, 2160, 60fps, hevc clip. VideoPad imports it fine and previews it with no problem. But, every attempt to export/build it to a 1080, 29.97fps output file just stops the build at that spot. I've tried converting this clip to different resolutions--no help. To different fps--no help. Using h264 and av1--no help. Different formats like .mov, avi, wmv, etc. Everything seems to work fine except the VP export process. Without sending in the file, is it common to see a build conflict between the two clip types above? Lower-res 1080, 30fps, 464 and hi-res, 2160, 60fps, hevc? Thoughts?

    AudioSocket

I'm interested in adding the AudioSocket plugin, but cannot find any pricing info on the NCH site. Where can I learn more about this function's cost?
  3. I've got to give NCH big kudos for its Auto-Levels function. Much of my video editing involves underwater footage and this kind of video requires a lot of color/exposure correction. While the expensive editing suites provide lots of tools for doing this, VideoPad has this secret weapon--AutoLevels. I'm not sure what's going on in that black box, but it does a pretty remarkable job in turning raw underwater clips into something pretty polished. In the video below, I'm guessing 90% of the color/balance work was done auto-magically by Auto-Levels. This function saves me a ton of work. Diving Puerto Galera in the Philippines

    Color Grading

    Thanks, Borate. Suggestion filed.

    Color Grading

I use VideoPad to edit a lot of underwater footage. And, first of all, kudos to NCH for the very cool AutoLevel function. That automatic grading tool does about 50% of the work for me. But, I always need to do some level of manual color grading as well. The expensive, top-tier video editing tools have added quite a few capabilities for supporting manual color work. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any planned new color grading functions that are in the works for VideoPad. I'm committed to this platform, but have become jealous of the color functions in tools like Final Cut. Has anyone heard anything about a development path on this? Anyone at NCH have anything to share? Thanks!
  6. Our channel just gained subscriber 2,500. All 84 episodes were edited using VideoPad. Here's our latest. The Turtles of Grand Cayman
  7. It takes all kinds. Go in peace.
  8. Okay, that did the trick. I reopened my project with the 13.09 release linked above. The audio clips that .21 had blown out or silenced were all back to normal. If this doesn't go south on me, this might let me finish my film. Hopefully, I can upgrade at some point to a newer version again. Thanks.
  9. No idea. But, I'll need to blow away all the audio of my current project and start over. The problem is that this is intermittent and seems to wait until my film is completely finished before wrecking everything. I wish this forum would let me post a picture. You'd be fascinated to see all my project's video clips that are now either flat-lined or maxed out or perfectly normal. It's a mixed bag this morning, but they were all perfect last night when I shut down. My projects are quite large, with many clips coming from here and there. It would take some time to track down all the files to send you a project that would load correctly. Let me give that some thought. I'll look at the release you linked and give that a try.
  10. I'm with Denty and am experiencing the same thing. I've been using VideoPad for four years now and this new problem is driving me crazy. I'm in 13.21 and have been experiencing this over the last few updates. This happens now in both mp3 and wav. I've noticed this happening upon reopening a project file. When I get the audio perfect, save, and close, upon reopening volumes on most audio clips are either extremely loud or completely silent. I'll go into WavePad and save off a copy of the audio file with a new name. I'll import it in VideoPad and it will work fine. Thinking that all is well, I'll close out and come back later. Upon reopening, the new audio file will have done the same thing--either there is almost no sound or it's through the roof. Note: Most of these wav files were already auto-normalized in WavePad and then added with VideoPad's "autonormalize" check box unchecked.
  11. This is an updated response to this old question. As of 13.14 (and probably earlier), LUTs (.cube files) work fine. Look for an effect called Color Lookup Table. FYI
  12. Correct. Instant fix for my problem. My channel
  13. I've successfully exported five fairly-complex videos now with zero issues. Performance is back to where I experienced pre-change. 14. Borate, it's too early to declare victory, but that certainly did something. I'd taken a little mental health break, but when I returned to the project, I made that video processor 'cpu only' change. A video that refused to export did so quickly and was error-free. That was a nice feeling. This problem has been pretty intermittent, so it's hard to say that it was the problem. But, hey, it did work that time! What is that setting? Was the default setting looking for video hw that I don't seem to have? Thanks again for the ideas and help.
