Experienced when normalizing wav to wav, the size of the file increased from 35mb (original) to 59 normalized... Both source and destination files 48khz/24-bit, so nothing but level up.. Others experienced the same thing??

I just normalized a lot of WAV files to WAV to get the same peak level on all files. But when I check the size of the original file compared to the normalized, the "normalization" have made the file much smaller than the original - almost 50% .. and that's not what I expected.. Is there a way to "turn off" anything but normalization / leveling, or do I need to find another (professional) batch normalizer software? My wav files are 48khz 24bit
