  1. Possible Bug. (Golden) I have been digitising my record collection, about 120 LPs. Very occasionally the play-through sound misses about a second, but the gap doesn't occur on the recording, so all is well. BUT today two such events occurred close together and there was a gap in the recording. This coincides with disk activity, so I'm guessing you're writing to a temporary file and this is interrupted by Windows writing something to disk. Maybe a cure would be to allow us to specify the location of the temp file, on another drive or maybe on a ramdrive?
  2. Depends on the soundcard - have a look for a "microphone boost" setting. The results aren't as good as using a pre-amp though.
  3. Sounds like you've got play-through set on your sound card, there is a slight delay between the "listen while recording" and play-through signals, hence the delay. Have a look in your soundcard settings for an option to "Listen" or similar.
  4. I had this on my computer, it turned out to be DC offsets, L & R channels were different. Depending on the sound card driver you can tick a box to eliminate the DC offset, otherwise tick the relevant box in Golden's post-processing options.
