  1. Hello,

If you play the full movie in the PhotoStage preview window, does it look fine? What format did you use to export it? You may try a higher resolution and frame rate. It may also depend on the original quality of the files you are using to create the slideshow and the device you are using to play it back.

    Regards.

  2. Hello,

Please try to play those .wav files using a different media player like VLC or Windows Media Player, this will help you to confirm if the issue may be related to the files or to Scribe. You may also check the volume level when you are playing the files. In case the issue persist, you can try to reinstall the program to see if it makes any difference.

    Regards.

  3. Hello,

In this case, what you can try in WavePad is this: go to Options > Recording tab > Open Windows Record Mixer > from the list, select the device you are using to record > click Properties > click on Levels tab > adjust the levels from there > OK > OK > OK to save the changes. If you still have issues, you may use the Compress feature in WavePad to see if it makes any difference. (Levels menu > Compress).

    Regards.

  4. Hello,

If you are referring to the Right Click options (the menu that appears if you right click on a file in an Explorer window), you may click on the Options menu > Right Click tab > uncheck "Enable right-click option 1,2 or 3" to disable the shortcut you do not want to use > click OK to save the changes.

    Regards.

  5. Hello,

After you have removed the background from your photos, you need to load the new images on PhotoPad > go to Tools menu > Background > check Transparent. That should remove the white background.

  6. Hi,

You may try the following steps:

Uninstall WavePad, then delete 3 folders named "WavePad" and 1 named "Components" from these locations:
    **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\WavePad\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components
    **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\WavePad\
**If you can't find any of the folders, just continue.

After that, restart your computer and reinstall the program using this link: http://www.nch.com.au/components/wpsetup.exe

Once done, restart your system one more time.

You will need to re-register the program using our current registration code.

    Regards.

  7. Hello, if you are using ASIO hardware then you can check the Enable monitoring for ASIO devices box which will allow you to hear what you are recording through your headphones. However, a better approach to monitoring your recording is to use your hardware directly. Most external soundcards will allow you to directly monitor your input via a headphone output. This option will provide you with the best performance and zero latency."

  8. Hello,

In attempt to fix this issue, please try the steps below:

Uninstall Crescendo, then delete 3 folders named "Crescendo" and 1 named "Components" from these locations:
    **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\\Crescendo
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Crescendo\
    **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components
    **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\Crescendo\
**If you can't find any of the folders, just continue.

After that, restart your computer and reinstall the program using this link: http://www.nch.com.au/components/crescendosetup.exe

Once done, restart your system one more time and try to load the MIDI file again.

  9. Hello,

Please be informed that MixPad cannot be used to transpose a song. In this case, I can recommend you to use Crescendo: http://www.nch.com.au/notation/index.html

The Transpose feature in Crescendo allows you to change all the notes in your piece by a number of semitones. To do this, open the Transpose dialog from the Score menu, or from the Score toolbar tab. The Transpose dialog allows you to choose the number of semitones to transpose up or down. Transposing by 12 semitones will transpose your piece up by an octave, leaving it in the same key. Transposing by -4 semitones will transpose your piece down by a major third, and so on.
Note that the range of semitones allowed by the Transpose dialog is determined by the range of note values in your piece. This is done to prevent you from accidentally transposing too far above or below the staff. If this prevents you from transposing far enough, try changing the clef first. For example, if you can't transpose your piece low enough while using the treble clef, change to the bass clef and try again.

    Regards.

  10. Hello,

Please be informed that if the Effects option is grayed out it is because you have either not selected any clips of that you have selected more than one. You need to be aware that the speed of the clips needs to be changed one by one, you cannot apply the Speed effect to the entire slideshow.

  12. Hello,

Have you tried to play those files using a different media player to see if they work? Does it happen if you convert from or to other formats? I can recommend you to access the output formats Options > Encoder tab > Restore Defaults > OK and try again. In case the issue persists, you may try to reinstall the problem to see if it makes any difference.

  15. Hello,

Please be informed that Debut does not have any options to modify the video speed. So what I can recommend you is to record using a different video format. You can try .avi or .mov to see if you get the same problem. In case the issue persists, click on Video Options and make sure that "Enable Time-lapse" is not checked. If it is, uncheck it and try to record again. You may also want to reinstall Debut to see if it makes any difference.

    Regards.

  16. Hello,

Please click on the following link to check out the list of pedals supported by Express Scribe: http://www.altoedge.com/pedals/index.html

They have been tested on the program, so they should work without issues. We cannot guarantee that gaming foot pedal will properly work on Express Scribe.

Please be informed that when you use a foot pedal, the Middle pedal can be used to Play/Stop the recording but when using hotkeys, it is not possible to assign a single command to perform to different functions. You will need to use one for Play and another for Pause.

    Regards.
