I've done everything suggested above - uninstall, make sure Windows 10 is up to date, re-install. Still no hot key function at all! I have the free version. But still - it's pretty useless without use of hot keys. (I do not have a foot pedal). Can anyone advise what the heck is going on here?? Extremely frustrating Thanks

Are there any foot pedals recommended over others? Why is it necessary to get the Express Scribe Transcription Foot Pedal which comes with software when I downloaded Express Scribe for free? Thanks

How can I set the F7 key to rewind 10 or 15 seconds, not just 1, which seems to be the factory default?

I recently installed Express Scribe on an HP laptop, Windows 10 version. Even though it says Hot Keys are enabled (F4 Stop, F7 Rewind etc), they won't work. At advice from someone on this forum, I uninstalled the app and then re-installed, but hot keys still don't work. Is there something I need to do with computer configurations to override the factory settings, i.e. F4 is mute, F7 is lower volume, etc.? And what about foot pedal? Does this greatly improve speed of transcription? I haven't got one yet, and am debating.
