We send users voice mail to their phones by email. To try and reduce the size and allow longer messages, we have tried a compressed format (mp3 & adpcm), but the file extension remains wav. The phones do recognise the wav format making the feature of no use. IVM seems to record the file on the hard drive as pcm then compresses it as a post process. Why the problem playing it on the phones? Windows Media Player also has problems with the compressed format so it's not just the phones.
