  1. Hi, Can anyone help me. I just edited a file and saved it as 44100khz 8 bit mono, instead of 16 bit mono. (I really do not understand any of this!) Is there any way I can resolve this problem as now my file, which took a long time to record, sounds very crackly and is quite useless. Thanks Toni.
  2. Hi, Ihave successfully been using wavepad for over a year and saving my recordings as wav. files, but as from yesterday, I am having problems with the sound qulity. I save a recording which is perfectly clear when played on wavepad, but when I open it and play it, it is fuzzy and crackly. Any suggestions? Thanks, Toni.
  3. Hi Jack, Glad to hear you have resolved your problem. I 'normalised' my recordings too, both of my own voice, and of a music file I had previously downloaded and then edited today, but it didn't make any difference. I have since tried again with demo recordings but the sound quality is now much worse. It is now muffled and crackly. I just can't understand why! Toni.
  4. Thanks Jack, I have just downloaded Wavepad onto anothercomputer and using the same microphone recorded and saved a demo which played back perfectly. I then uninstalled the version of Wavepad on my laptop and reinstalled, it but I still have the same problem and it is sooo frustrating as I need to use it for my work! I hope to hear from you again soon, or anyone else who can help. Toni.
  5. Hi, This is my first post on this forum. I have been using Wavepad successfully for over a year and have not had any problems until this morning. I made a recording and saved it to file but when I opened it to burn it onto a CD, the sound was quite muffled and not clear as it was when played on Wavepad. I did a second recording in case I had made some sort of an error but the same thing happened. I can't understand this as I have never had such a problem before. Has anyone else experienced this or can anyone advise me on how to resolve this problem? Thanks, Toni.
