  1. Ah...thank you very much, Chris 75. So, does that mean that, even if I were to upgrade to the latest version, I would still need ASIO? I downloaded ASIO some time ago, on advice to sort out latency problems, but deleted it again soon after because I found it useless.
  2. When recording vocals over backing music it would be very helpful to be able to hear and monitor my own voice through the headphones, but I can't figure out how to do this - if, indeed, it is even possible with Mixpad. So, is it possible or not?
  3. Thanks for the reply. I searched back through thousands of emails to find my registration code for the original purchase, then re-loaded the programme. I haven't tried doing anything with it just yet, so I don't know whether or not the crashing problem still exists. The good news, at least, is that the missing projects have re-appeared.

    Not happy!

My licensed edition of Mixpad recently began to frequently crash. It has always thrown odd little tantrums, which I had learned to live with, but this crashing business was something new. Fed up, I submitted a report about it. The pop-up response was to tell me I could download an up-dated version which has eliminated all the problems, including the one I reported. So, I followed the recommendation and downloaded this up-dated version. I now find that I have the free unlicensed version replacing my previous licensed one. This keeps popping up prompts to certify what I'm using it for and suggestions to purchase the licensed edition at a special discounted price. I've already purchased the damned thing, thank you very much. Of more concern to me is that it seems to have arbitrarily decided which ones of my projects I can have access to. Several of them seem to have been completely wiped out, so I cannot do any further work on them. They're just gone. Anyone from NCH care to comment?

    Latency

Thank you, TECH Support, although I'm not a computer geek and didn't understand a word of that. Yes, I've clicked on 'Offset Recordings' and it made no difference. What is meant by specifying offset in milliseconds? How am I supposed to know how many milliseconds to set it for? And what is an MME recorder? I downloaded ASIO and found that my recordings would not play at all, so that's no use to me.

    Latency

Anyone...please? I would love some answers. I paid good money for this damned thing and I expect it to bloody well work properly. I can't get through to their technical help site because the process requires some sort of product number which I'm damned if I can find anywhere. I'm extremely pissed off with this piece of crap.

    Latency

Greetings, all. Can anyone tell me exactly how the adjustment for latency (in 'Options') is supposed to be used, please? There is merely a box to tick and a selection of numbers to choose from, but nothing explanatory about what on earth you're meant to do. I'm thoroughly fed up with Mixpad arbitrarily deciding to mess up the timing on my recordings.
