  1. I'm back, as far as I can tell the video format is the standard Video for Windows, the editor outputs that, the input video I edit from comes from the frame capture software and the editor I am using can use it. I will check and try the latest version. I can't use the current editor as it would only create mobs of files I have to edit thru.Videopad can clip away like mad. I tried to figure out if it could output the frame grabber avi, but no luck. If you need some technical details it shows I will send that up, but again as far as I can tell, its standard video for windows format AVI.
  2. I am on 56k as noted previous it would take weeks to up it. This is a Serif product, my best idea is to up a short clip and you would have to dupe-copy-edit it for an example unless you find a similar clip. I've never used the google thing...yet.

  4. the codec in questiion works, thats on my raw video capture format, but after editing-re-rendering, Serif outputs apparently to another codec-format, so VP still loads only 4 minutes. I have to get you that info.
  5. the video has gone thru an editor commercially but may have retained the codec, the editor software may have converted to a compatible codec, the camera was used for frame by frame transfer slow speed from 8mm film thru a computer system using a frame grab software. easy 10 gig sized original raw videos. This is why I would post a shortie clip for you.
  6. 25:52 min/sec checked on MPC also, same length
  7. here ya goes... .................. 8. I am on 56k, that could take weeks to upload. What might be better is to make a short clip, you can edit it to 29 minutes (copy copy copy), and see what.
  9. it is 4:57 in the clip area on the left. previewing is 4:57. I don't doubt the software editing can handle large lengths, its the clip loading in the media box that seems to be chopping off length. I have already tested clipping out a short bit of the video for testing purposes, thats fine, I did that, understood that right off. (done a lot of editing here guys on lots of video/audio/real A/B roll professional, 8mm/16mm film) 65 gigs available in my test video area. Is there a trem clip storage are that need modding or what? Video is a transfer from 8mm, using AVI format, no compression. I usually use media player classic, but the clip runs in the editor.
  10. deleting and loading the 29 minute clip again and again, ends up 4:57 (min/sec) Shoving those arrows only shortens it up further. It looks like they position at the ends of the vid clip and you can shorten your clip (29 minutes it should be) but its...4:57. Thats from clip start to the 4:57 of the clip which should actually be 29 minutes long.....
  11. I'm working on a rarther large project, and my video files are like 29 minutes in length, I am using a differrent software to work the video but if doesn't have good clip manipulation, so I decided to start digging the net for something that works. VideoPad looks like its very effective in dealing with clipping, cutting/manipulating. I grabbed the latest free version (vpsetup 4.0 ) and tried it and was very impressed. but my test video is 29 minutes long, 5.4 gigs in size, 720x480 size. tested some clipping, and yeppers, very cool, pop out a snippet of video. however, my clip is not 29 minutes long, it is 4 minutes, 57 seconds long. duh... is this a limitation of the free version, I'm not seeing any references to all the limitations the free version might have.
