  1. Ok, new development. I have edited the S29 setting with no further problems. However, the call still doesn't transfer. It seems that 70 milliseconds is still not enough. I have been in contact with Multitech and they are familiar with this IVM software and seem to like it quite a bit. As do I. If you don't recall, I have a rack of Multitech modems. All of them being the 5656ZDX-V models. I will keep working with Multitech and see if I can get this problem fixed. I am still willing to entertain any advice users may have as well. Fire away if you have any comments regarding similar problems and how you fixed it. Did you decide to go with another modem altogether? If so, which delivered the best performance. Thanks
  2. Actually, I know what is going on now. It is for sure the flash hook duration. Mine is set to s29=10. Obviously, 10 is 10ms. Way too fast. I have been trying to edit the value with no success. I change the value, at least I try to, but it the new setting will not stick. Can I edit an .INF file to make the new setting stick? Anybody got ideas or done this before?
  3. Truthfully, I will take any advice anybody has got.
  4. I have discoverd something. I think the hook-flash timing is all wrong. It's too fast. Anybody have any ideas on how to adjust it?
  5. By the way, I can perform a 3 way call myself with a regular phone. I just can't seem to do it with the IVM. I am trying to simulate my exact actions and duplicate it with the IVM software. I'm close, but have not gotten it to work yet. One thing I did notice, is if I do the call with my regular phone, the party that called me hears nothing when I put them on hold and dial the other phone number. I use the FLASH key and they are put on hold. Then I hear dialtone. As I dial, the party on hold reports that they heard nothing, no tones as I was dialing. However, if I do the same thing with the IVM, I can hear it dialing the number I need the call transferred to. Of course, the call goes nowhere and eventually it disconnects. As I wait for some ideas from this great forum, I will continue to try to get this to work properly. Thanks
  6. Good Afternoon, It's been awhile since I have posted here. I have been using IVM for some time. As of late, I have been increasingly asked to provide call transfer capabilities to my customers. Here's my setup. I have a Multitech ZDX rack capable of holding 12 Multitech ZDX-V modems. I have two Moxa 8 port PCI cards in my PC. Essentially, I have all 12 modems connected directly to the cards. I also have a voice T1. They are basically analog lines complete with dialtones delivered via T1. The T1 terminates into a channel bank and I feed the modems from there. Each line leading to the modems represents it's own individual phone number. Anyways, not to get off topic, I need to transfer calls. Can I do this using 3 way calling? I do not have a PBX to work with. Since it does dial and use the "!" flash hook I'm assuming this can be done. Thanks in advance for any advice
  7. Good Afternoon, I have several different OGMs for several different companies. Each company essentially is billed per call that arrived at our facilities call center. The first months billing went well because I used the call sequence number variable on each of the lines. I would like to continue to use this same approach but now I find that the sequence number keeps increasing. How do I reset it so it reverts to 0? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    OGM Folders

Thanks for the rapid response. I will further elaborate the small annoyance I am experiencing. I find that when I place the OGMs I have into folders I cannot use them after that. Specifically, when I want to select a modem to answer a particular OGM. If the OGM resides in a folder, it fails to appear in the drop down box in the device settings allowing me to select it. It's really weird. Do you think if I leave the main answering OGM out of the folder and put the rest of the OGMs that coincide with it it in a folder it may still work? Let me know what you think.

    OGM Folders

My list of OGMs are getting quite extensive. Recently, I decided to seperate each company OGMs and set them in their own folder in the OGM list. The only problem now is, I can't use any of the OGMs after they are in a folder. So my question is, why allow for a create new folder feature in the OGM list in the first place? If one was to put OGMs in it, they can't use them. Am I using the create folder feature incorrectly? If not, please fix this in the next version of the software. It would be nice to group OGMs by company name and still be able to set each modem to the OGM I select.
  10. Hello, I have IVM Answering Attendant software. I would like very much for callers to receive faxes on demand. I have installed the plugin but I really can't make heads or tales of what I need to do with it. I'm working with just one document at present. Any help on how to set this up would be much appreciated.
