Based on my looking, the tax is applied/not applied to an item not a customer, so there doesn't appear to be a way to waive sales tax on a purchase for a particular customer without going to Tools-> Options -> Tax and selecting "No Tax" as the default tax option, then ringing the customer out, and going through the same steps to turn taxes back on for the next customer. This would of course only work if you have all items set to use default tax setup, not their own tax settings. A "Tax Exempt" button would be nice during checkout for you, a worthy enhancement request you should place through their support line.

We've previously used a Card not present account with Authorize.net to process credit card transactions without a signature, however now all their CNP accounts have CP creds for free (and better rates) and based on my reading Copper supports Card Present. Does Copper print a signature line, or do any of you use digital signature capture devices? (and does copper support those?) I'd rather invest in a signature capture device vs managing paper receipts with signatures on them.

Does anyone who uses Copper + Inventoria corporate have a suggestion for a barcode generator/printer? Our goods come with no tags/barcodes and we don't want to have people look up each item (fast paced sales) but rather scan barcodes. I'm looking for something that will help us print a sticky label through a labeler to affix to the bin of product, so we can scan the bin, set the product down and ring them out.

So, according to the roles, no, you can not create a person who access to ADD items to the system, but not DELETE items from the system. You either CAN manage items (add & delete) or CAN NOT (only sell/refund)
