  1. Hello birdbrain56, Check your 'minutes' Parameter. It should be 'min'. I changed mine to 'mm' and it reproduced your problem. Good luck with it.
  2. I found this worked on my setup (windows 8). From the 'options' menu choose the 'audio' tab then tick the microphone box. In the drop down window to the right, select 'Realtek HD audio' (you will have an appropriate option, but don't choose the USB option). Then close the window by clicking OK. That's it, but you won't hear any audio during recording, but you will see audio being indicated in the sound bar at the bottom of the screen. You should have audio when you play your recording. I hope this works for you.
  3. Setting up 'Date/time Stamp' in Debut video capture. Thanks to Clemenzena for pointing me in the right direction on this. Here's a bit more detail. Open the 'text caption' dialog box from the 'effects' menu or by pressing the 'A' button at bottom right. Then to enter the date and time in, for example, the format: day, month, year, hour, minute, second, enter into the text entry box: %dd% %mm% %yyyy% %hh% %min% %ss% exactly as shown. It doesn't have to be in this order. for instance you could use the month day year format. I find it useful to separate the date and time a little by putting a couple of extra spaces between the date and the time parameters. I hope this helps.
